Payment Options

Insurance and payment options

Untreated cataracts will invariably progress and cause more visual problems. In addition, they also become more difficult to treat.

Makris Vision Group makes it possible for everyone to have their cataracts treated by offering multiple ways to pay for cataract surgery.

Flat Fee

Makris Vision Group offers a flat fee for patients who do not have insurance or have a high deductible insurance.

Surgery fees for each eye will be $1500 for the Facility, and $1500 for the Surgeon. Complications of the cataract may increase this amount. Anesthesia will be an additional $150.

Insurance

Makris Vision Group accepts most major medical insurance.

Please contact our office directly to inquire about your insurance company.

Medicare

Makris Vision Group accepts Traditional Medicare & Medicaid patients.

Medicare Part B will pay for your pre surgical appointments, cataract surgery, and postoperative care provided you have met your deductible and have secondary coverage.

Medicaid will pay for medically necessary eye surgeries.

What our patients say...

After 60+ years of extreme nearsightedness, I can now see almost 20/20 thanks to my cataract surgery by Dr. Makris. No more glasses or contact lenses; the freedom is great. The entire process was painless as well as professional. I can’t recommend them enough!

Victoria R.

Really good group of people. I was very satisfied that there was not a lot of waiting.

Mary V.

Completely satisfied. Looking forward to finishing up with surgery of right eye in two weeks.
