Insurance and payment options

Untreated cataracts will invariably progress and cause more visual problems. In addition, they also become more difficult to treat.

Makris Vision Group makes it possible for everyone to have their cataracts treated by offering multiple ways to pay for cataract surgery.

Flat Fee

Makris Vision Group offers a flat fee for patients who do not have insurance or have a high deductible insurance.

$2,700 per eye for typical cataracts. Complications of the cataract may increase this amount. Anesthesia is an additional 250 fee.

Insurance

Makris Vision Group accepts most major medical insurance.

Medicare

Makris Vision Group accepts all Medicare & Medicaid patients.

Medicare Part B will pay for your pre surgical appointments, cataract surgery, and postoperative care provided you have met your deductible and have secondary coverage.

Medicaid will pay for medically necessary eye surgeries.

 Care Credit

Allows patients to pay for cataract surgery over a period of time.
